Terlingham Vineyard

Terlingham Vineyard and Winery, situated on the English Heritage listed Terlingham Manor Farm, is England's smallest commercial vineyard with its own onsite winery. The vineyard is nestled on gentle south facing slopes of south east Kent, near the historic village of Hawkinge. It is an award winning vineyard with two years of consecutive awards from the English and Welsh Wine Awards. 

 

Terlingham Vineyard and Winery produces a range of sparkling and still wines. We aim to produce wines that reflect the characteristics of each individual harvest, allowing nature to influence the subtle differences between vintages.

 

The chalky soil, the warm south facing slopes and the gentle sea breezes are all part of the terroir and allow us to create wonderful, delicate wines. All aspects of the wine making process are carried out in a traditional way, from hand picking the grapes to riddling the sparkling wines in traditional pupitres and disgorging by hand.

Terlingham Vineyard produces only a small selection of wines, we like to focus on quality and taste. Because each vintage is produced by hand using traditional methods and oodles of heart, each vintage has a unique taste and character.

 

Our chalky soil and gentle climate (which we share with the Champagne region in France) are essential ingredients for the creation of truly fine still and sparkling wines.
